If your using any kind of music program "as in music sharing" that you can download music, can you get caught with this s***? Or to many people use it and they dont bother, or will they actually have you go to court and pay a fine? Or end up in jail...?

Lets say someone downloads the music, and burn them to a disc then deletes the files. Then what? Safer? Or files still there just hidden?

They are gone. Don't worry, the FBI doesn't **** out everyone. If you do get caught however its a 100k fine + 10 years in prison.

You can always use azureus with the safeip filter thingo.

thats gonna take a long long long long long long LONG time, unless i burn it all into dvds, but i dont think it matters cause its just networked to mine and my brothers computer, it doesnt have an internet connection, we dl the files on or comps and move them to that comp, but still, now im a little paranoid

LimeWire is legal dude.. if u dowloadit on there no 100k fineno 10 years nothing happens limewire is good..but if u like steal it.. then ur screwed

I use LimeWire Pro and yes I got it illegally, but I have dial up so no 100k songs for me. :(

They will not find you. They bust people 99.9% of the time from kids using PUBLIC bittorrents of major movies. I've known people, not personally but known, who've gotten notices from their ISP saying they've been warned for downloading Copyrighted movies and must remove them or they face fines and termination of their ISP.

Using LimeWire or anything similar is stupid because it's easy to get caught that way. Not that you will, but if someone wanted to pop you then they could. The safest way is to use privately hosted files (get in with the right forum/community) or privately hosted trackers and torrents. Places like OiNK. OiNK is far more dangerious than the former but much safer than any other option. Things like DC++ are safer and more efficient too.

If you use LimeWire to get your music though.. move on. I can get full albums at 320kbps or lossless in 10 minutes. Limewire won't do that for you. Look into DC++ if you guys are really pushing gigs and gigs of media.

i'd say limewire because you can get pro for free :P. don't be overly paranoid, they never bust people anymore because who doesn't have music on their comp? When do you ever hear of people getting busted anymore?

can't you just copy everything in your shared folder and save it in another folder? then they can't get you right?

Stop the illusion: Limewire is not safe. Limewire Pro is not safe. Users thereof are not safe. It is still possible to get caught.
