View Full Version : Need new music blah! AH, you mean how AC/DC, Guns and Roses (another band I dislike) and IM managed to crawl out of the 80's and stagnate the early 90's rock scene with the tired butt-rock of the decade before?
I don't have enough of a mullet to listen to ACDC. You've been smoking too much rock, child. AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Guns N' Roses really aren't remembered too fondly for the work of the 90s. AC/DC's landmark albums Highway to Hell and Back in Black were far from hits in the "90s" other than backseat rock radio play.
Iron Maiden was far from mainstream enough to "contaminate" anything, even in their 80s hayday.
GnR.. other than November Rain, who the hell cares about anything they did other than Appetite? Again, Appetite wasn't even released during the 90s. Close but no cigar.
AC/DC brought so much to the table. Go live in the disco era and tell me you wouldn't appreciate a single like "Shoot to Thrill."
For the record, when Nirvana was number one, where was Iron Maiden? GnR MAY have been top 40, but eh..
Your logic sucks. Go away.
And at the end of the day, in a discussion about 90s rock, who the hell would even mention them other than you? Likely bands to come up would be the Seattle Scene, specifically the golden three.. Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana. Further along, bands like Janes Addiction, the Black Crowes, Pantera, and Metallica would come up.
The closest to "stagnating" the scene that any of these bands could ever do would be the influence they had upon these bands. Snipz 07-17-2006, 07:08 PM Omg shoot to thrill is such a great song. Hells bells is another good one by them also. hellsing293 07-17-2006, 09:07 PM here's a few bands-

Ok dude stop saying s*** about ac/dc and other artist/songs you dont like, all i asked was, "whats some good rock music to listen to" not to start a flame on a thread that i made. slimp 07-18-2006, 08:55 PM I like how your telling the artists but that doesnt help whats the best song out of them, you should name a few.
if you want someone to tell you things, don't be a sarcastic fackhead to them.
Best Queen songs- Bohemian Rhapsody, Bicycle, Somebody to love, We are the Champions (while killing baal or something), I like a lot of other queen songs but i guess those few are my favorite.
Best Billy Joel - Piano man, seens from an italian restaurant, she's always a woman, we didn't start the fire, everything else too if you like those songs, most of the artists i listen to aren't one hit wonders, but instead just the kinda music I like/love to listen to.
Best Pink Floyd - this is probrably the best (of my few bands) for playing diablo2.
Comfortabely numb, the wall ( the entire soundtrack(s)),Shine on you crazy diamond, darkside of the moon, everything else. For me pink floyd puts me into this trance were i don't even know the music is playing, and yet it keeps me entertained and my lips are still moving to the words. ( I don't do drugs)
Best Led Zeppelin - Black Dog, Whole Lotta Love, you shook me, Houses of the Holy is a great one, All My Love. My memory isn't workin out to well, but I suggest just using a bittorrent and downloading the greatest hits of these artists, and if you don't like them... delete them. ehhh, most people like led zeppelin, and queen... bust most don't like pink floyd, and think billy joel is too gay (although the lead singer of queen (freddie mercury) was a flaming homo who gave people AIDS through his manwhoreness).
that's it, and if you like any of the music I gave you, you're welcome. and if you don't, don't complain, and if you need help with bittorents Add me on msn, slimp520@hotmail.com and i'll teach you howto use them..
Edit: How do you not like ACDC, my dad used to blast that on the stereo in the morning to wake me up, highway to hell. Instead of lazing in bed for half an hour i'd hear it turn on and jump outta bed and act like I was doing that beggining DODODO DODODO do do do do da da.... but anyways, now I think i want to listen to that and i have no headphones with me :(. meh, I hate it when people who listen to mediocre bands say good ones suck.
