I'm a smart guy, but when it comes to pcs im not so acute. So, Can someone explain to me how to get the render off the gray and white checkered background. I use photoshop CS2.

PS: I have looked up many tuts, but they all say you must cut it out. is there any way just to take it off the background layer?

Magic eraser tool does the trick, but it only works if the background is the same color.
Click and hold on the eraser tool
Select magic eraser and click on the background.
