I was xfering in a public game went to Catacombs waypoint dropped a few low runes and just before i clicked save and exit i saw the guy enter the waypoint so i rejoin and notice the runes are gone.

Any idea what happend, pure coincidence? i wasn't in that game for more than 10 seconds before i left so he really didn't have all the time in the world to check all the waypoints it seemed like he knew right where i was. This has happened to me more than once or twice so it makes me wonder...

Any thoughts/ideas on how this guy did it is there a certain hack or mod that i'm not aware of?

I do not know of anything like this, even mods and dll plugins that monitor dropped items can't monitor things that aren't in that acts town or near it. I think it might just be a coincidence.

I once had a friend in 1.10 who had a hack like this. IDk name or nothing he would't tell me. I used to xfer in dif act. He could tell the act but not exact place So idk.

yea, i would have to go with wm_hunter because it could of just been some guy who was at the right place at the right time ( for him that is). that persons intrist could of been to go out and kill a few monsters then whoop he goes in to a wp and bam, see's runes on the floor. come on if you see free runes on the floor wouldn't you wanna take it?

thats why you dont transfer in public games. especially not anywhere in A1.

catacombs isn't exactly an un common place to go, he might have been going to mf andy or something. If i ever mule in public games, i would never use such a common wp. Best wp's are the obscure act 3 ones since most people dont bother to get them.

Back in .09 I think there was a pickit that could detect anything in the game, of course blizzard is much more strict on this stuff now though.

I forgot to mention that this was in normal and i dont know many people that do normal Andy for mf drops, he was level 88 with decent equipment so i highly doubt mfing was his intention especially since it was in normal. as soon as i rejoined and went into cata waypoint he said ''thanks for the runes'' and left.

at least the runes were low, not high :)

i did this trick once in 1.10, i guessed a guy was in swerers xfering some barb gear and i maanged to steal his ammy and shield with Ziod's pickit.

He was begging to give it back, so funny :)

im still doubt it was a hack, whats the name of the charcter you were dropping the runes from for exampe if it's called mule-01 it gives everyone afair idea that its a mule character and probably in the game to transfer something if it's not a trade game.

Sometimes it's just obvious when someone transfering in a public game, high level character, dosen't party, leaves and same account but different charcter joins leaves. Were you doing that?

Anyways, my characters mule is taco_kisses and its on a different account so he really didn't know i was muleing. both characters were low levels both were just made level 1's.
