Lately I've been sitting in on duels, even participating a bit (and frequently getting owned) and then I saw something that made me laugh

The room had a couple smiters and a barb doing mostly meele stuff, and then this necro walks in and just ruins everyone's fun.

A clay golem PVP! He was using bramble an the 'edge' bow for the thorns aura. His golem must have beem maxxed out becuase it moved so fast, and when it hit people they got slowed real bad (hardly did any damage) The necro would just town hug, and his golem would slow everyone and frustrate them until they decided to take a few swings. Even when life-tapped the golem's thorns aura would kill a smiter in a couple blows. It was like the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Anyone else have some good BM builds? I know about the townhugging summon druid, but it lacks the charm of an annoying as hell golem that slows everyone

Nope, thanks for the idea though, i already have a gg bear druid i'm going to start on a harassment golem nec now.

thats hilarious. you could make a hydra sorc and just run in town. or you could get full lite gear and max out thunder storm and lite mastery. mine does about 3k on lite sorc and doesnt have ts maxxed out. pwns casters 1hit if you could max it out, mine even kills some in one hit.

also, shadow master(i don't know which, the strongest sin clone). if you wear bramble on your char will your clone get thorns since its a clone of you does it clone your gear? if so you could put holy freeze and others on it also.

LOL clay golem man i wish i was there sounds hullarous i love it!.... hydra sorcs seem weak... i mean 3k dmg tops n stuff and its a unit that cant move and slow attack unlike traps but i geuss it could be goood somehow...

right now my hydra sorc does 5k dmg, and kicks everyone's ass. i love the fact that hydras stay up when u go into town :P she doesnt even have full gear and does 5k.......god i love her. my next dueler will be either foh or auradin ;) probably foh

Ooh shadow master is a good idea, and wouldn't a zon be able to it with valkarie also?

And do mercs wander out of town and get owned alot? You could have an act2 thorns..

Valkarie harassment zons aren't very strong, my bear druid kills them without any difficulty.

Having a merc is pretty annoying though.. they seem to enjoy walking out and dieing so you just gotta run in a little bit so they come back in.

However they are useful, my bear druid would do alot less damage and wouldn't be very good with melee if he didn't have the 21 thorns archon and the 20 conc pride on him, also hes might so thats alot of extra damage.

BM = Bad Manners... meaning cheap pvp ways to score kills, like using bone prision, or putting on lots of absorb gear, townhugging, using potions etc etc.

And i doubt a golem necro would be that good at PvM.. but then again I've never tried.

using bone prison is considered bad manners? no wonder all the smiters were *****ing..

I know it's BM. They are frustrated that their uber expensive build cant complete with a mildly expensive build. If they were smart the would have enigma in their stash, come back and spank you.

Those guys must have been proper noobs.

In my opinion, best BM must be stacked resis (against casters). I.E. My clanmate has a godly hammerdin, and when we are doing pub duels, vs cold sorcs, for example, he uses a 4sox Vortex +45 resi all with 4 perfect Sapphires, dual Raven's and other Absorb gear. Sorcs have no chance.

This is not actually BM, but my brother has a godly BvA barb with 4 perf Kira's, one with Thul, one with Ort, etc. When dueling a cold sorc, he switches to Kira with Thul, giving him so he gets +100 cold resist.

Yeah. A sorc did eventually join, and FB'd the poor golem to death.
