Now with the the growing population of d2...Theres bound to be scammers...hackers...etc etc.
With more and more new programs being developed everyday...They're used to keylog,brute force etc.
Follow my guide and theres a 98% guarentee ull wont be scammed/haxed
Password related
1:Never NEVER use 2 letters as ur password.
2: Dont use passwords like 123456 or 123123 or even firefox123 etc..Why..you ask?
Brute forcers these days are capable of solving millions and millions of different combinations...Switch the program on for a day and they could try roughly over tens of thousands of different passwords on a specific account...
3:Try to include characters like "!" ,"%" , "^" like those...Making the password totallly random is the best,though u might have difficulties remembering,but its going to save you thousands of dollars.Another way is to get numbers / characters from your cd key or something..Mix em up..Like eg"gw92x%sd" <--What are the chances of someone guessing/brute forcing that?
Or the best way<--My prefered way
try to think of a sentence
Eg "rpg forums is the best"
Make the pw the first alphabet of ea word --> "rpgfitb"
Thats only an example,you could choose more complicating ones.
4:Never..NEVER give out your password to ANYONE...Even your little brother who acts innocent..RL friends<--Nono , unless u REALLY want..Then the 98% guarentee will drop ^^
IF you really have to..Example giving the pw to your friend to perm your mules/trade/level etc...ALWAYS change them before u give it to them.After the job is done,rechange your password to the original one..This way if u get hacked,you know its not your friend's fault.
5:Never use the same password as the one you give your friend. Example -->Your friend wants to play a game..take it runescape. You lend your acc to your friend..but if the pw is the same as d2 ARGH HELL NO...remember NEVER have your password for an important account in someone else's hand,even though he doesnt know what its for.
6: Dont leave your password lying around..Be it save it in a .txt in a family computer or sticking it in your backpack :headache:

Though u have your methods of getting an anni/torch,i ONLY do those trade in forums...Getting a mod or myself to mod the anni...Remember,theres MANY different types of people out there PREYING on your 20/20/10 anni.
Getting a mod to mod the trade is the SAFEST way to get the trade done.
If the other party isnt willing to get a mod and keeps arguing hes trusted blah blah..Just leave him,though he offers 203942 times the price,ignore him..
And ALWAYS check the mod that comes in is the REAL mod,request a PM from him in the forums/msn etc.
And people have 9x defensive gcs max vigor and run like hella fast..
They grab their items and grab ur items and leaev.
Some also have the famous a2 drop hack...U drop ur anni...They make u drop from game-->Steal

For those who doesnt understand how it works.
Typing /dnd "msg" will show up when other party types "/whereis *[your acc]"
it will show that ure on dnd mode and the msg you wrote.
Nothing too harmful yea? But people are creating bs saying "type /dnd [acc] [pw] to get your position on bnet or free items or w/e crap"
Sounds silly but people DO fall for it...remember...Do not believe those nonsense.

If you receive an email saying blizzard is changing servers and requires you to give your acc/pw to make sure they stay active and stuff...Please do NOT believe this..
Blizzard/Bnet will NEVER ask for your password. Even the sender's email is webmaster@blizzard.com do NOT trust them.
4: Dupe method
Tons of games out there saying he can teach you to dupe etc...Plzzzz dont even bother joining those games...unless you want to fool around with em.
Though maybe 0.0000000000001% of em are real, you still dont want to risk it.best way is do NOT join those games...Maybe you think u can go in and see whats installed for em...but i suggest you not...some sweet talk and ull be giving em 10 x wizzy gloves hoping for em to dupe.

Yes...People giving away free account in channels/games etc
1% of these are real...99% are just scam.
They place like 2+high levels inside,hoping you would use em...for pking/botting ETC.
But even though u changed the pw..youre NOT safe.Email recovery could retrieve their pws so eZZ that ull cry..They steal your items u place in the characters and use the characters to scam someone else.
6:People who keeps requesting you to be their friend.
If you're rich,yes people will request to be your friend...nvm about that..but if he INSSSISSSTTT on being your friend and even say things like "i can help you xfer when no ones around"" <====Oh please kill me.
Never never trust people who u just knew for like 1 month...They pretend to be your friend then SCAM..from xfers or w/e

Please dont be tricked...99.89% its scam/virus/trojans etc.

You feel tempted...You see screenshot..wow looks real.
But dont be fooled again...See the screenshot carefully...80% out there is open.
They dont even have 40 runes to drop on the floor to get a screenshot on closed.You think they REALLY have the program?
9: Accident scam
Some scammers just type '".f m hey bro i got this FREE DUPE from www.----.com"'
They make it look like they send it by accident...But in actual fact..Intentionally...So NEVER visit those sites.
10:Iron Golem scam
Some people with no life asks u to drop ur items for ""fun""..They give all sorts of excuses wanting to see w/e...DONT drop...If hes a nec worse...They IRON GOLEM ur item and leave...While ure crying over the loss of ur ebug 08valks/imps w/e
