Wow, it's really been awhile since I have been here, so I thought i'd share a couple tutorials.

Soft Glow Text

1. Create a new document. I will use 400 x 120.

2. Fill the document with black.

3. Get your text tool and type your text. I will use "Maranallo" and my font and a size of "48".

4. Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options and apply the following settings.

Outer Glow:

Gradient Overlay:

5. Duplicate the layer.

6. Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical

7. Now add a layer mask http://www.gfxgamers.net/tutorials/softglowtext/layermask.jpg

8. Next grab your gradient tool and use a "black to transparent" gradient.

Now start at the bottom of the text and drag up to the top of the original text or just a little above.

9. Now change the opacity to 80%.

Now your final should look something like this.

the sky.

You can adjust the the settings or size to your needs. There you go now you made a custom moon

with a moonlight reflection.

The cheapest i've ever seen CS2 is $350 (USD), they do have an upgrade version that sells for around $150 (USD). The upgrade requires you to have a previous verison, however you can get it for free if you know where to look, but i can not tell you that, it's against the rules.
