do u think a adding a shael in it will make much of a diference???

I would recommend you do so, however buriza is not the weapon you would be able to use well in hell mode, in my opinion. IK Maul is good for Hell mode, but Buriza is good up at about 77, just upgrade it when you can.

I didn't want to give you a half assed answer so I looked it up.

....I did some quick checking and the IK maul as is hits 6 fps fury, while the buriza is 5. Another nice thing about buriza is that it does function off of Dexterity for damage, so you can build essentially a "dexadruid" and you then also have better defense and attack rating as well as excellent damage. The real disadvantage is the minimum damage, mine is somewhere around 1200 I think, max is something like 4500 (I'll have to double check those numbers, without poison). And, the freezing is nice, in Hell cows it's a great crowd control booster.

However... I did discover that and IK maul will hit 5 frames with 15% IAS! so if you socket one with an anything/15 IAS jewel, you'll match the speed of the buriza and probably be doing between 500 and 1000 extra average damage per hit. Which is better overall? well, crap, I guess I'll just have to test it. I need to make another druid now with str cranked up instead of dex, and see if the additional damage makes up for the loss of freezing and attack rating...

I'm going to guess though:
My prediction is that they'll both work quite nicely, approximating the same overall speed. Maul slight advantage in regular gameplay, buriza probably slightly better in cows.

Conclusion:
get an additional 15% IAS on your maul, if you haven't already!!!

If that is true, wouldn't the additional defence and attack rating from using Buriza and pumping dexterity essentially balance out the damage loss, as said in the quote? Not to mention you can upgrade a Buriza to have increased damage. I'd go with Buriza 'cos depending on your items you can spend less stat points to equip it than IK Maul, and 'cos I think it is hella fun bludgeoning monsters to death with a Crossbow.

i plan to use the burza cause it takes less stat points and most of my items will incrase the dex a lot right now my wolf is a lvl 39 and only 40 actual dex and i have about 90+ dex ithink
