Lately I've found myself asking this question. I don't get it at all. So why do so many people hate mods?

Because they warn you? Ooo! a warning! So the **** what! One warning doesn't ban you! and they gave it to you because you infringed on your side of the agreement, which you agreed to when joining. It takes a shitty post to get warned. And all of them are your own damn fault!

Because they can ban you? That just means you did something wrong, repeatedly. You didn't learn you're lesson on the warning, and this is the next step to make sure you don't repeat it. Again, if this happens it's your fault!

Because they have more power and influence than you? That's for a couple of reasons. 1-They've been here longer and have more forum experience! 2- They were chosen because of their maturity. 3-Because they are least likely to get warned/banned, kind of a maturity thing. 4-because they ****in earned it!

Because they are power hungry? If this is your honest answer, you're a dumbass. I've yet to see one case where a person didn't deserve what they got. (That goes for me too. Yes!, I have been banned.)

Because you're a loser and have nothing to do but blame people for your own insecurites and this way is the easiest because they aren't able to kick the shit out of you? This gets my vote

They are just doin they're jobs. I personally feel, they let so many things go off easy. There could be a lot more legit warnings given out, and probably should be. If you don't ever see those, that's why you're a noob and not a mod. For christs sake, you agreed to the rules at sign up, so don't get pissed at other people (especially ones who are more powerful than you) when you screw up. It's not their fault, so stop *****in' at them. It's pointless; it's generally spam; and it almost always, buys you another warning. So stop!!!!!!!

Reply if you agree with me or have a GOOD reason to be pissed off.

lol fuggle.. but yeah pyro is right mostly.. I dont have any problems with mods.. there has been 2 times when i have double posted cuase my comp lagged when I pressed submit but i just edit the second post and p/m the mod and there usually cool about it.. Its just about how you handle the situation. Mostly i am easy going I have learned to control myself..Cause If someone talks crap to me even in real life I dont hesitate to go ape wire on them.. Key is to not let anyone walk all over you or they continue to do it.. being as i am 24 now..I can control myself a little better. And i like to post on d2sector when i am at work between paper works and helping the techs lol.

i haven't had a problem with mods that i know of...(i might have gotten in some trouble with my "age/usefulness" post (which i will not discuss anymore)). but other then that, i stay with in the rules as best i can...no real reason to get *****y at someone online...it reminds me of a text Sig i saw a while ago...it went something like this..."arguing on the internet is like being in the special Olympics, even if you win you're still retarded"...or something like that...havent seen it in a while.

The only problem I have with moderators, is their leniency.

hmph. that sure aint chocolate on your face, pyrolaugh:
anyway, i agree that mods just do their jobs. they may sometimes be a little harsh but shit, who really cares. they're not professional mods. just some dudes on the internet. shit, im just another dude on the internet as far most of you guys know. ill begrudge that im the hottest dude on the internet but just another one just the same. i think some people hate them because they are kinda jealous of their power. my thoughts are that by putting them down and trying to lower public opinion of them, they can catapault themselves up to modship. it's stupid reasoning but prolly true

No, it's me getting pissed off because almost everywhere I look, someone is getting pissed off b/c a mod has done something to them. Besides, I don't need to kiss ass because I already kick ass. It's a good concept, someday you might recognize it. shithead

Those people don't last long. Most make a rather funny attempt to prove themselves in a PM and then "Disappear" afterwards.
Btw, the only ass you are kicking, is your own.

its natural to hate mods... but you can just live with it or learn how to ban them all(unlikely).

I believe that the most important thing has been left out of the list. Why do You hate people in real life? Because they are douchebags. I'm not saying that I don't like the mods here (except for one), I am saying that it is "natural" to dislike people that You tend to have conflicts with. I hate some people that are ****ing idiots, I don't see why You cannot do that on a forum.

Essentially, we're all only human.

EDIT: I don't see why people get pissed off about a warning. First time I ever got a warning was for posting in an expired thread. I got a PM saying that I got warned, and it said "Reply if You disagree". For a moment, I was about to click reply and argue, but then I thought, "who gives two shits?" Warnings are a medium for regulating the forum.

Why do people get pissed at cops?
Why do people get pissed at teachers?
Why do kids get pissed at their parents?
Why do people get pissed at mods?

Its just human nature to dislike people in authoritative positions. No one like to be told they are wrong but it has to be done. People just need to get over themselves.

i got pissed about warnings not to long ago because i was being banned and nowhere near the 15 points you had to have to receive a ban. so i had a pretty legit reason for being upset. i know i was down to like 5 points and got warned and was banned. of course i usually debate my warnings too (yeah i know the mods probably don't even look at the debates) which btw is another fallacy of the mod system. once they warn/ban you it doesn't matter how much evidence you have to back your case they won't overturn anything unless you get spit involved. i dont' hate any mods i just don't see eye to eye with a few. this goes for one of the vet's too. i'm glad blinds not a moderator because he'd hold a grudge over bumping him in a hallway. anyway there's my pennies.

bleh.. this is pointless.. i feel the mods do fine around here(of course not without mistakes which is only human), of course some people will hate the mods or some will like them. So we will never get a general thought on whether the mods are good or bad
