my grandparents have a high def tv and all that good stuff but if i buy a 360 i want to be able to play my old games on it too ya know?

ahh so tru 360's buyers will be in for a major shock when ps3 and revo come out ,there way to full of them selfs right now and easily runined the name of x-box with that crap both ps3 and revo are 100% compatable with game u dunno about the first playstation, and the revo can play nes games ,even if it is a lie i'd rather save up for the other 2. and this is one critical fact 360 came out too early just like halo 2 and i really hate halo 2 due to that fact ,i wish i still had halo >.<

But most people aren't gunna be playing Xbox games when they've got their new X360 games. I've NEVER played a ps1 game on my ps2...

Microsfot has said not all games will be compatible with the X-Box 360, but the fact that the newer games wont really pisses me off as I wanted to play Star Wars: Battlefront II without having to switch consoles.

blackmage theres not much of a choice for theres around 12 games taht are coming out at launch...i tihnk.....plus with the core'less 360 u wont get the HD graphics people are drooling about....

well thats stupid... who cares if you cant play old games on the new 360... if you wanna play them use your regular xbox... And i think 19 games should last a while... why would you need a old xbox... new and better stuff is too come and i got the High Def, surround sound, big t.v.(well I got a High-Def Projector) already setup about a year ago... actually a week or so before the RedSoxs one the world Series :) but... i heard that if you didn't order it now its sold out for like a year or summin like that...

Well i agree with a lot of you 360 is coming out way too early and the lack of playable games is going to suck too. plus the price ranges from 250-500 come on people u can do a whole lot more with that type of money.

The thing with Xbox is that there aren't many games that you would actually replay, Xbox games have been known for good graphics but not much content. Halo is an exception to most people but i don't see what people see in it because to me it is incredibly dull. Playstation 3 and Revolutsion have games that people want to replay e.g. Final Fantasy series hence they have to be compatible with the newest consoles. I think Microsoft made a new console from scratch trying to improve where the old one went wrong but in order to do that they had to sacrifice because too many things needed re-inventing.

What X-Box games did you play? You were obviously never introduced to the KoTOR series, yes released on PC but they blew on PC.

yes, though the 360 is backward compatible, it needs to have the software which can be gotten 3 ways.

1st through Xbox Live
2nd buy it from Xbox
3rd get the software an burn it and download it on the 360 hardrive

and there you have it. Cheer up xbox fans. Im so excited
