DotA stands for “Defense of the Ancients”, it's a free mod for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. The purpose of the game is to defend your Ancient and try to destroy the opponents Ancient. The ancients are located deep in both bases, which are located at the top right and bottom left corners of the map. There are over 70 heroes that differ greatly in play style. Each of these heroes have been carefully designed so they are both balanced and unique. The map is updated frequently, sometimes to add new heroes, fix bugs or to make a balance update. The strategies possible with DotA are pretty much endless, choosing the wrong item and hero combination can mean the difference between a win and a loss for your team. The gameplay in DotA Allstars can be classified as relatively fast because as the game progresses any small mistake you make can be fatal to the overall team.

DoTA is one of the best Maps in Warcraft 3 history, I play it ALOT man.

if you are juggernaut, buy refresh orb and buryza and then you use omnislash on a hero when he gots like 2/3 of the life, and u refresh it and u kill the other hero if there is an other hero --> double kill quit easely
if you are omniknight, you can choose between:
- to be a hunter, then you buy sange and yasha, boots of travel, and then only damage -> if you are a good player and know how to use a hunter, you will own
- to be the best sieger of the game, you buy refresher orb and after using your ulti one time, you use it again!!! it makes you got +1000 armor in 18 seconds!!!! if you know how to play a sieger, you may all push mid with this skill and then you own... this is the skill i suggest

i cannot stand DOTA because everyone always talk shit to me because i started to play it later then everyone else and they talk crap to me and i know as well as everyone else knows that we were all noobs at once and now i cannot get into a game without someone talking crap to me so i offically hate this game two thumbs down for DOTA but also Two thumbs up for the game has excellent fun when with noobs lol

bad thing about dota? some game takes around 30mins~2hours+, no leavers, ppl from singapore while some are in Canada can't play so well with a bit of lag, some game has pros while other team are newb.. etc.. aside from those ppl complaining it's a good game... also addicting if you own =P

Dota is the best thing in wc3 me and my friend cant loose a 2v2 -.- we win 99% of the games we play. If u are nordic and think u have a chance pm me. Only nordics or lag

warcraft seems to be a nerdier audience
people go crazy when you dont know how to play
starcraft players are more accepting
