I've looked around and have had a hard time finding any lightning trap assassin guides, let alone any I liked. I have a general idea on what skills to pick, but I am unsure if a shadow warrior or master is worth it. Also, what is some good gear for this build and what is the best way to place my stat points? with a trapsin u wanna aim for max ias for fastest trap setting, 102 fcr(2nd to last bp), 86 fhr(2nd to last bp), and as much dr as possible.

str: enough to wear monarch
dex: max block
vita: rest
ene: none

max light sentry
max death sentry
max charged bolt sentry
max shock web
1 to mind blast (needs fcr/spam after traps set)
1 to burst of speed (need to cast to have max ias for quick trap setting)
1 to shadow master (meat shield)
1 to fade (against casters)
rest into cloak of shadows (gives def bonus & -enemy def[which doesnt matter but is cool])

helm: ber shako (2skill/life/mana/18%dr)
armor: mage plate enigma
weap: hoto (40%fcr)
shield: ATLEAST 32% fcr Spirit Monarch for bp (55% fhr too O.O)
gloves: Perf Up'd Bloodfists (10ias/30fhr)
boots: 15str/15vita treks (20fhr.. eth is good but if not 15/15 then this better)
belt: 15%dr dungos
rings: 2x 10%fcr rings w/ str/dex/resist mods
ammy: 2 trap 10%fcr ammy (preferably with str/dex/resist mods)

cta/spirit on switch

anni/torch
9 trap gcs
10x 20life/5all resist scs (i dont no wut ur 70/15s are??)

LETS REVIEW:
- Reached 9 fps attack speed cuz of hoto[-10], 10 ias from bfists, and just remember to keep bos on when setting traps.
- Need 86 fhr: 55(shield) + 30(gloves) + 20(boots) + 10(belt) = WAY more than enough
- Need 102 fcr: 40%(hoto) + 32-35(shield) + 20(rings) + 10(ammy) = 102-105 :)
- Need DR: 18%(helm) + 8(armor) + 15(belt) = 41% wow nice B)

In conclusion, follow this guide and u will pwn.

yaa ud probably wanna get a merc with infinity and hi dr and resists. tele a lot and hope he doesnt die.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. Is HotO and spirit the best way to go? Would weapon block and 2 claws with +3 traps and possibly +2 assassin skills be good too? Just wondering.

ull do some more dmg, but ull be losing a lot of fcr, fhr, resists, life, mana.... and u already have max ias. hoto and spirit is much better if u ask me. ull have to waste points into weapon block and ull still be dying a lot more.

lol 4os lo shield or sumone with SALVATION aura and ure screwed unless u got an infinty merc . GG!!

how much damage ~?

im not sure. i havent made the char i just designed the build. ;) the dmg should be really high tho and youre going to be super fast and really hard to kill.

How many people have those? I'm guessing not a ton.
