Of course microsoft will want to upgrade their security because now just about every person who's not a noob at computers use Firefox. I'll try it out but I'll still probably prefer FF.

Yeah, I reccomend sticking to Firefox, you can't always trust a beta, especially a beta for your key to everything online.

Get your head out of your *** and realize what Gates did. Sure, there are a ton of bugs in MSoft software, but Mr. Gates doesn't code it himself anymore. He pays people to code it for him, and all the profits go into his corporation.

Bill is a genius. He single-handedly wrote the first Microsoft OS and made enough money to keep going. Now look at him.

Is there ANYTHING today that doesn't require SP2 ? I dont trust it, because its a pain in the ***. Or has it got better since it first came out ?

They didn't overeact at all. i'd rather not have my computer "Deactivated" over a cd-key that has nothing to do with me.

If you're saying you have a pirated copy of SP2 it doesn't let you install it. That's it. My friend's XP is pirated and he can't get SP2 but he can get almost everything else.

Also, there's actually way worse exploits for Mac and *Nix than Windows. I was watching people argue over *Nix and Mac being better. Although, they were talking about servers, so I dunno if that'd be the same.

Hmm... I have a legal version of XP Home and a illegit version of XP SP2 Pro.
