Yeah, I think those are the two best places to find runes, maybe hell baal too?

nope countess cant drop zod... though i think her minions can drop it. btw countess drops up to Lo. drop statistic sites indicate that eldtritch, shenk, the council in trav and mephs council, and high lvl champion monsters can drop good runes. in fact, on my way to the countess i killed a group of champion carvers and a cham rune (#32) dropped.

the pit and around is kinda good place to find good runes .. i found a gul and a vex in 2 days there

Hell chaos sanc is a good place too...tons of monsters there..

I remember i found a Vex rune in hell cows. But that was only once.

countess and trav are the best and ya mf doesnt matter. for countess she always drops a rune. EVERYtime
