halo2 ledgedary(2 player)= gay now.... when 1 person dies u have to go to the last check point... they really f*cked it up..

Well i'd have to say I am anticipating half-life 2 alot more than i did halo 2. You can't really say which is a better game yet since half-life 2 isnt out till tomorrow. If youve watch any of the gameplay footage it looks simply amazing. The graphics are incredible the AI is incredible the environments are incredible the physics the lighting the game looks altogether wonderful. Of course more people are going to say halo 2 because there are like twice the xbox gamer thna there are pc gamers. mostly because most people can't afford/don't know anything about good computers.

Exactly. Half-life looks ****ing amazing. And Valve isn't one to disappoint us.(Except with Steam...what a way to make things so easy for them, and so complicated for us.)

Halo 2 has one even bigger flaw...Choppy gameplay.(Half-life 2 seemed to run VERY smooth in the video I saw...but I don't know for sure how it plays, yet.)

I, however, am not near as interested in HL2. I'm currently addicted to HALO 2, the mother of ALL, that's right, I said it, ALL first-person shooters. I don't really care what you say, HALO 2 is one of the greatest video games on planet earth. Check the sig and come get some this coming up weekend.

EDIT: In Legendary you revert to the last checkpoint when your comrade dies? Dang, I hope my brother doesn't die when we beat it together. I am currently trying to complete Legendary by myself, and I must say, it's a bit tougher than HALO. The AI is 10x smarter.

yea the dam eliets (while not that much health) jump on boxes and creap up on u and who ever said choppy gameplay is a **** and should b shot (j/k but hes still a ****:() i love the game play and if i didnt i would find it hard 2 like hf2 and not halo 2. they r simalar games exept halo 2 story is real cool

to play it smooth ur gonna need a over clocked 3.8GHz and the new ati video card overclocked and a sick liquid cooling system. so to pay about 1600 for nice game play, not maxium or high detail, they made it too good in my eyes.

halflife 2 really sucks if u dont have the high expection on ur computer caz it requires very very high things in order for it to work smoothly.. so i would go with HL2 but i cant afford it... its sooo EPXENSIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Funny, I've been playing it since it came out, on and off line, no choppiness that I've seen....must be that strobelight behind you, better turn it off :P

not really. it runs fine here. choppy for a few split seconds right after a map is loaded but thats expected.

my specs:
AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 333FSB
Nvidia GeForce fx 5200 256mb
A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard
512mbs of ram

not a very expensive rig at all. if you have monitor, mouse keyboard already you can build that rig for under 600$

HL has absolutely nothing on Halo. Okay, maybe the ending sucked, but Halo is just badass on multiplayer, on XBox live, and the campaign is always fun to play on Legendary.

Half life's ...shelf life is HALF over Halo will live on forever.

Uhhh should this be in this section of the forum? Don't think it should be...but until a mod moves it, I'll reply. I saw HL2 on my friends computer, and it was WAAAAY better in single player than Halo2, but as far as multiplayer, Halo2 kicks HL2's arse! In any case, he was running HL2 max specs with a new geforce 6800 OC Ultra, AMD 3000+ and I don't even remember how much ram he had in it. BTW, the sound of everything on there sounded so beautiful on his 1010 watt sound system he had hooked up to that comp, OMG!! *drools* Everyone should be so blessed with a superior gaming rig like that...I wish I was....

Single Player and Graphics winner (With the proper equipment): Half Life 2
Multiplayer: Halo 2
Anyways the ending was just a scheme to set up Halo 3 for the X2.

pluse ther was a story in between h1 and h2 but you needed to read the books... i saw hfl2 and i say yea it looks good but the ai fluency looks dumb i love the way the phsyics engine works and yes the grave gun does look good but you know what all i saw was the grave gun no others so whats that saying?, h2 had a good ending as soon as i saw it i said YES cause theres gonna be a third one, but hopefully bungie will live up to its words cause it said alot but only came through on half of what they said, most of its b/c they could figure out dynamics on certain vehicle specs but i go for h2

you kind of have to play them both before making asumtions beholder. I have played them both and hl2 as an excellent storyline IMO and i never even finished the first one or read any books. hl2 is the kind of game you can play through 10 times and its still fun. hell you can just mess around with the grav gun for an hour and its still fun.
