I'ma be shopping around for a new computer here soon, or at least some replacement parts (new processor, memory, and mobo) and I was wondering if you guys could tell me what one of the best motherboards out there right now is? Specify whether it's AMD or Pentium please.
Price isn't of much concern, just tell me which is the best.

I think Motherboards are one of the most important parts of a computer, and people don't put enough emphasis on them. I just want to make sure I have a good one for all of my upgrades.

You can tell me just a general brand (like ASUS, Gigabyte, ABIT, etc.) but I'd much rather prefer a more technical answer. The more technical, the better. ;-)

Thx,
Clayton

Hm.. I haven't been doing much work with mobo's, but I would go with AMD of course, ASUS and GB are ok.

Get like 1 or 2 agp slots with that btw. :-P

Get PCI Express, it's good. If your gonna' go AGP, make sure it's AGP 8x. Also try to see if you can get as many PC3200 (DD400) Memory Expansion Slots as possible for lots of RAM. ;)

~ Considering this, the Asus A8V Deluxe is probably your best buy.
