Well....how do sharewares work?
What bout sharewares...it may expire in a few weeks...(varies)...but when u uninstall em,and reinstall from the site....it still doesnt allow u to use...what made it regconize that u used this program before?

Usually little registry entires burrowed deep down. Or files somewhere.

You can delete the registry entries from them and reinstall to get your usual 30 day free trial again,or you can get a reg code from shareaza,bearshare or limewire also theres a program called serials 2000k that has reg codes for alot of shareware.

I would think that some shareware sites log your ip address to deny your download. But Spit's theory sounds more probable.

Spit is right, it's stuff in the registry. I think theres a program that monitors changes to the registry, if you had that, you could use shareware forever if you wanted to go through the uninstall/reinstall process every so many days.

wow...thanks for the advices guys...
and yo muder...long time no see...
wondering where do i get this cleansweep thingie...i could google it...but as i just reformatted my comp i dun want any virus sneaking in...and my virus scanner might not be able to detect...if it was my old comp...ill just heck...its 'seasoned' already...:p

If you have Nortons anti virus 2000 or newer Cleansweep is on the cd if you didnt install system works with the antivirus.
If you dont have that I think I have a reg cleaner that I used to use before that somewhere that i could upload here
