I'm going to have to go with Mike, Scott, and Terry on this. Even though I had no part in this, it was kind of low of how sudden it was and there was really nothing to mod.

I am sorry I didn't give any prior warning in the last few days, but I am sure I have mentioned it in the past that inactive mods will be removed. I remember Skidude posting in the thread.
To those that are complaining that "there wern't any posts to moderate" you are just supporting the decision that the amount of mods on the forum were indeed not needed. And those that are whining are giving the impression that the only reason they are still here is for the super moderator 'status' and thier own ego.
I am indeed sorry for the way that I handled it, I know that it could have been dealt with in a much better way. But there is no avoiding the fact that the site isn't in its prime atm (mainly due to the Diablo II scene dying which is what made this site) and doesn't need a heap of mods to keep people in line.
There are changes in mind atm for Blizzard Sector (moving away from just blizzard games i.e. name change) and if made will quite possibly require more moderators, in which case those that were de-modded for inactivity will be the first chosen.
Kinda being thinking of what to say, first of all I am not going to beat around the bush and say I have been active and lie about it for a while and like Fuggle found no need to close some threads nor to post in them because not really my style.
Myself I have being running my new business getting it settled and which is not your problem but mine, but I always considered myself a Admin here as Spit would know I loved it so much by pestering him in early days everyday through PM about how to do certain things around the website its what I liked doing around here, and always thought when things had settled in my business I would always get back to doing some serious admin work again here whatever Spit wanted from me and try my best to get some more activity going, sadly this won't be the case no more.
Fair enough Spit you apologized and that is cool but doesn't changed what happened and how it happened and for me kinda a put a dark cloud over my stay at the website which I enjoyed and not for the D2, its what brought me here but not what kept me here.
So I will probably take my leave although be it difficult for me to do from such a great website but I feel its only the right thing to do for me is slowly disappear.
whats up why are people leaving due to not being mods anymore. yeah its a great thing to have but from what i have learned you have to keep working on it.
terry completely understandable to be mad but why leave keep things going here don't up and leave because of what has happen try to make the best out of it. keep your business running and keep coming here when you can. and don't worry about being a mod. doesn't matter if you have a name change from the website. yeah you guys have done a lot in the past just make it better work on it again and surely you will get your title back

look i dont know if i am missing something but from what i have just read this is what i am hearing from poeple that they are getting mad because they lost thier job as a mod. i been here since like 2004 and i have not had a mod job or nothing special yeah i would like to and try hard at it. but that's not gonna make me leave the website because i dont have mod job.
i will be staying here i like the people here they have helped me with alot of things d2 and life things. i dont think i will be leaving anytime soon even if i did lose that..
Even if you guys dont change your minds about staying here i wish you the best of luck on everything that you are doing and may your lives be greater then mine. lol
i support the demoting for this reason, it seems redundant to have 900 mods and super mods when there is nothing to do, even i couldn't find energy or time to stir something up.
btw fuggle, skye banned me fron the chatbox with no one telling me until much later. you should be like me, take your demoting like a man and dont complain, if i as banned for this right now id say, meh and spend time doing real stuff.
if you read his post you would see its not the demotion hes really upset about, its the manner in how it was done and not being thanked for what he has don in the past
I don't believe a single mod plays D2, and when the only posts most of the time are just chain spam threads like the crabby one it's very hard to keep interest. Even though we may not have done modding (due to the extreme lack of need) it was the reason we stuck around. I'm sure everyone already is on MSN with the people they like to talk to here so the people don't really keep them around all the much either. Besides if you check most mods they haven't been posting all that much either because there's an extreme lack of threads. That's why a lot of people are leaving.
