I can think of two things.

One: Nicer community, too many people flame over useless things just to get that drama going on here, and is scaring people off.

Two: Expand, expand, and last, but not least, advertise. We need to expand to other games where some people are very advanced in, and have people advertise this site on those games. Like me, I'm awesome about Halo, know 90% of everything in all three games. Theres a lot of Halo sites though. Another example would be Pam with final fantasy.

Or try to incorporate other forums on random tech stuff, and promote people just posting their opinions or just talking about each item, weather they own it or not and weather they are an expert at it or not.

People like drama, they get flamed they HAVE to stay and defend themselves and prove their point, kinda like you ya know.
We have a fantastic community, you cant just expand to every game at once and sit and wait for members to join, you need to put full attention and focus into one game and have everyones support.
I think the games already been chosen, Starcraft2 if Im aware.
New games coming out, kids need a place to chill and discuss things, and we are going to give them that.

no no you have to remember its a blizzard project
so the release date will be set in about half a year, then the typical pushbacks and delays.

anyways why median? I think everyone here who has played regular D2 can relate to the fact that at some point you always return to it.

d2pk has hundreds of users when they pretty much started from nowhere

if blizzsector were to make a D2pk like server i have no doubt in my mind it would work considering the Rep that we have as being one of the greatest d2 forums. i also have no doubt that a median or server would infact be successful, althought im not looking foward to it in-particular

d2 just gets boring after a while. If people stop playing the game, I imagine they "for the most part" would stop visiting here. I had stopped playing entirely, but then I decided to play classic, the one area i had never played before. This was a good decision. me and Kellard have been playing together, and I have been enjoying this very much. There is no act 5 (well almost), no druid/assassin, no runes, charms, or any overpowered items really. I suggest trying it out, there is even a nice little section for it on d2jsp.com. Stone Of Jordan rings are however about 400 forum gold each (yes i have 2). The best item are rares, and things like spectral shard, tarnhelm, rare martel de fer's with 260+ max damage. :)

Just remember Spit: designing is one thing, but attracting people is another. We don't want it to be as dead as the World of Warcraft and other blizzard games section.

Vbulletin 3.7 is in beta 6 now. So should be out shortly. When its out i'll be adding some new usergroups, few more features etc.

If you have suggestions for Starcraft II forum sections etc let me know. I'll also be looking for a couple of people to help run sc2sector.net

My Suggestions are:

1) Set up an archive system where really old threads are closed and moved to where they can only be viewed, not posted in.

2) Bring back the points system and some sort of shop system.

3) Advertise, get the site's name out there some more.

4) Start up some more competitions; ROTM, D2 Character Guide of the Month, etc.

That's basicly it, clean up the forum, archive the old stuff, then fill it with new stuff.

1) Had that before but we put everything back in the forums they came from. We can probably compromise and have it so that threads that are X days old / havent had a reply for X days are automatically closed.

3) Its advertised everywhere i can atm, without paying for it to be displayed on other sites with google ads etc. There should be alot more traffic here once sc2sector is fully up and running (I Hope)

2) I can install a points system now, but there is no shop to go with at atm, so to me it seems a bit pointless, unless people are happy just making points for now untill a shop comes out (soon)

4) competitions i should look into. Could have d2 items from Lewt as prizes.

Hey everyone. So... I'm new here as you can see, and I first wanted to say that I absolutely love the site. I'm sure you all know it's the most well organized and sophisticated site out there for D2. I used to play D2 years ago but never really got into the "inside" stuff like even grushes, much less mods and maphacks and stuff. So when I started playing again at the end of '07 and found out what a grush was, discovered jsp and stuff, I felt like a kid in a candy store.

Do you think that if they reset the ladder people would flood in here or do you think people would just get frustrated at starting over and quit? Personally, I love Diablo and I'd love it if they reset the ladder because I never experienced the beginning of a ladder season and think it would be cool if stuff I found didn't have to be perfect to be worth something on jsp. I'll look it up myself, but I was wondering what Median was and I'll have to look up d2pk also.

I like that you all seem intelligent and friendly and can't believe this site isn't more popular. I read in other threads about having our own realm? I didn't know that was possible but sounds like a really awesome idea. So even though I've technically played D2 for years, I never really let myself get too into it for some reason. And I've never really had any other character besides a Barbarian. I guess I missed out on a lot. But I definitely want to help in any way I can to get more interest back into d2 if there's even a way to do that.

Well, I've already made this post too long and don't want to bore everyone anymore, so I'll get going. I've been lurking for a few days but I think this is my first post. I'll try to make the place seem more alive. Like I said, I'm new so if anyone's still active in d2 and wants to play, give me some spare equipment or a few fg, you know where to find me.

Oh, also, what are these credits? I don't understand that whole aspect of the site. Nice meeting you all and good luck with the site.

The only problem with the site is it is based on a video game which hasn't been updated in years and barely anyone from the site plays.

Haven't posted in a while but I come by and check up on things every once in a while. Just wanted to say that if you were to start up a PVP server with legit gear and no imports, I as well as a bunch of friends would definitely come by. Only reason we stopped d2 was due to the mh bans when 1.11 came out and then stopped the pvp servers once people start massing imports and what not.
