Amazon The Amazon plays like a slightly more battle-capable Rogue from Diablo I. She can hold her own in one-on-one combat but truly excels at ranged weaponry. Her two options are the Bow and the Javelin.

Default Javazon or Bowazon? - 07-22-2007, 11:40 PM

I'm about to make a zon, but I need some advice on which type to make it, Java or Bowa? Any suggestions as well as a build for it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Bowazons are very dependent on gear. If your asking which one to make, you probably don't have enough gear for a bowazon.

Well to answer both of your questions, more than likely, PVM, and yes I am not very rich so I do not have very good gear.

Yeah, after the ladder reset I decided to make a bowa again as my first charachter for the new ladder. Bad idea, she's sitting at lvl 70 and can't really solo the later parts of NM because her gear sucks. My level 17 javazon however is moving right along and is a lready more functional. If you're poor make a javazon.

Yeah thats the way i was leaning. But actually, I usually play NL, so the whole ladder reset doesn't really affect me. Thanks though.

OK, cool. What realm are you on? If it's east I got some low titans and thunderstrokes you can have.

PvM, Well if you solo your self in non ladder the best choice for you is a javazon, cuz it doesn't take much for them to be good and its norm, but if you do get rushed and baal and all that good stuff....
I sugest the bowzon :: Because all you need to do is pack duel LL on her and you can leach like a mad man with multi-arrow and strafe. You can use a ebotd hydra bow or other bow, and it should work great for you and its cheap cuz no one really uses it.
Since you don't have enough for faith.
You can use reg uni* gear for her and she will do fine, you can just slap on gloves with IAS, and im sure you can get your hands on CoH // **BUT**
If you are too poor for any of these items <IE :: EBOTD bow // CoH>
Don't bother with a zon, cuz it wont serve much servace in hell mode.
I would sugest getting a Mf-char firt.
I sugest eaither a Wind Druid (Good Resist and Really good at tanking//hard to use)
Hammerdin (Very strong and easy to use//cost the most)
Sorc (Good all around and very cheap//resist to monsters)

Hope this helps, i can answer anything.

Yeah, I am in the process of trying to put together a mf char, but it doesnt seem to be working too well, lol. I'm still trying to come up with some decent gear to get me started, as well as some different builds for the right mfer.

Well if i may, i would say a Sorc.
You can't go wrong with the high DMG with the MF gear. Also the gear you use is pretty much very easy to scratch up. But as a sorc you hit up Eldrich, Pindle..etc....

So no main bosses really lol..
The build is pretty much up to you..
Fire is pretty much very good dmg, high chance of resist.
Light good DMG high mana cost, Med chance of resist.
Cold ok dmg (orb:: least mana cost), Med chance of resist.

You can always hybrid your skills.
If this is for you, then i sugest fire and light.
Has the least chance to have both resist. (same as fire and cold)
But i tend to think that fire and light is better.
*Fire being the main attack*
