Hey i'm new to these forums and have been looking for a while to find some well informed players and less 12 year olds... anyways lets get to the point.

Starting monday with the new patch im gonna be playing some Harcore Ladder. So i need to plan my character ahead of time to save myself some last minute struggling. And I know I wanna make a zon so i've been reading up.

Keep in mind this is for PvM (since its harcore), and that I am going 100% legit (no trades, playing only online with a close group of friends). So i can't just getmyself a wf and shit. K here goes.

Strafe vs. Multi for PvM= I'm thinkin strafe... i'm so sick of seeing every zon being a multi zon and i've never been a strafazon before... sounds interesting and has potential if i have a good enough act2 merc / valk to tank saving me from death by frozen strafe. Is this a good idea?

Guided Arrow or Passive?= Since its PvM do i really need GA... im mean its nice for bosses and shit but only 1 skill might be enough? I'd rather go straight passive for Critical Strike and Dodge and shit to stay safe (especially for Hardcore).

Jabs on the side?= Just for the hell of it, and it might come in handy... should i get a Pike for the switch to help out if bow dmg is too weak in early game? With leech and a merc it has potential and its not that risky of getting killed.


Stats: 150 strength (since i won't be finding anything perminent to wear...
100 Vital (Dmg is more important to me... even if it is hardcore...)
Base Energy (Mana leech Bow for early game if i need it...)
200+ Dex (all the rest here... dmg is key...)

Items: Suggestions? Keep in mind i'm legit and it is hardcore... I know i need leech and attack speed... i dunno what to look for though... crafting will be easiest for decent items next to MF gear if i'm goin all legit.

i would say multiple shot cause u might know that strafe has that locked time while casting(u can`t move while casting strafe).Even though strafe does bigger dmg u will find more usefull mshot cause it casts it imediatly comparing to strafe which takes a while `till u can move.And mshot will be more usefull for large amounts of monsters(for example cow level).
So much for mshot.Going to ga or passive i would suggest u put more than one point in ga...about 5-10 and balance it with passive.
Bout the spear...i don`t think so...it`s a waste of skill points but since u will get alot of skills remaining from ur bow&crossbow skills at high lvl u could throw some points here from early lvls
And the most important skill to max(after bow skills) is valkyre.U will see that at high lvls she will be ur best friend because of it`s enormeus life and she resist to many hits while u shoot ur enemies from behind(very usefull).U might even want nt to ressurect ur merc...but since u`ll be hardcore u`ll need all the protection u can find so merc is very usefull too
Bout the gear i dunno since u`ll be legit.Mf ALOT.Try to find shaftstop and upgrade it
i`ll sugest laying of hands(20 ias and 350% dmg to demons) raven frost(a bowazon isn`t allowed to be frosen) string of ears(quite easy to find) the cat`s eye(20%ias and 30% frw) a good rare ring with life/mana stolen and resists if u find and wartravs :P(very hard to find) and resists sc
