There is definetly a dupe for diablo 2.If there wasnt the diablo 2 store was have limited quantity and sell the items for a bit more.

1. Once the ladder was reset, it took a while for the diablo stores to setup inventory for the new ladder stuff.

2. This dupe has to be easy. So easy that if you was to order an item(s), they can create a mule and send the item(s) to you within 15 minuits. Thats usually the waiting time of delivery if you ever bought from a store.

3.I highly doubt a program is which will desync the server so whoever has this method can dupe. Reason is; every time a dupe was made public, it was eventually patched. Why would blizzard make it so store owners can sell blizzards virtual products. No there is a method in which limited poeple know about. And I bet they as mostly the same poeple who do gold farming for other mmo's.

4.And lastly a Diablo dupe is only good if limited poeple or even a Person knows about it while others dont. If everyone could dupe an SOJ or Enigma, who would buy from a store? Who would want to play a game in which everyone has the best of everything. Trading would become obsolete. The elite few who has this dupe know this information.
