You guys miss the point. What is normal? What defines the social norm which we all speak of? Everybody here has a different perspective of normal. Body modifications, from what I have read, are more popular for Berlin "punk" gangs.
Think about it, some people get tattoos. For the people that get tattoos all over their body, the fact that their choice is irreversible is the same as this guy. So before you label this guy as "weird" etc, this could he version of getting a tattoo. When you think about it, what's worse--Have a pictures of hello kitty all over your body of having two holes in your cheek. It's a choice and an opinion.
For the record, I called this man an abomination. Although I'm saying that normal can't be defined by one person or group of people, I merely said that because of his ugliness (and my initial reaction).
