Default Math Poem - 11-28-2007, 04:44 AM

I had to whip this up for homework. My restrictions where it had to be at least 25 lines, use repetition/rhyme scheme/apostrophe/interline rhymes. Tell me what you think of it:

The class groans “It’s not fair”,
Our teacher tells us, “Now kids, don’t despair”.
As I pull out my hair,
I sit in my chair while wondering why do I care?
Numbers, Numbers, they’re everywhere.

In math, I have a test today,
Did I study you say?
“Hey” said I, “No way”,
Then I looked at the test and my brain must have turned to clay.
Numbers, Numbers, I’m saying a prayer.

Working on the test I cried,
“My grade is fried”.
I wondered could the teacher be bribed,
I sighed, as an F at the top of the paper I eyed.
Numbers, Numbers, I hate them I swear.

As for homework, that’s another category,
Mine got stolen by a girl in a Fiori.
“Sure” says Cory, “a likely story”,
I’m sorry, pleaded I to Mr. Yorey.
Numbers, Numbers, mine are nowhere.

THAT’S IT, I QUIT! I decide,
I don’t want to add, subtract or divide.
Forget a triangle and finding its side,
All of my math pride has died.
Numbers, Numbers, and I don’t care.

**Why the last line messed up I do not know**

As long as darkness flows through my veins, I will never cease, As long as my dreams still haunt me, I will never show mercy, and as long as evil lives I will never die.....
