American History X is a GREAT movie because it has a point and it illustrates it greatly with a story that keeps you hooked until the very end, and after it's over it leaves you there thinking and pondering.

That, to me, is what makes movies, music, and art in general great. If it doesn't provoke thoughts and make you question your own life then what good is it? I do agree that Edward Norton is a great actor.. I guess that's what you were trying to get at


I also suggest Fight Club, Sin City, Full Metal Jacket, 12 Angry Men [you've all probably seen this in school], and on a newer note.. Little Miss Sunshine.
