| i think its dragged out because for academic reasons of the players. i think they have mid-terms or something at that time so they delay the bowls. plus their kids and even after a 12game season their bodies could use a rest. a playoff would force them to play up to 3-4 extra game sand take a bigger toll on their bodies. that's how teams who win the super bowl, their players go under a lot more physical stress after from the longer season. that's why the first-round bye is so precious to get.
anyways, i love how everyone was saying how much the gators were gonna get the shit beat outta them and that eventhough they would have the "use against the world mentality" it wouldn't be enough. then the gators come out and totally dominate ohio state.
the rose bowl this year wasn't even that good. last years rose bowl was probably one of the most amazing college games ever, not even considering it was the national championship game.
