Before you could clearly think for yourself, the media and your parents have thrown the message of how a normal person is Christian and how you should doubtlessly follow what the Bible has to tell you. You were told that believing in God is the right thing and that if you stray in the smallest amount, you're doomed to an eternity in hell with maggots eating your intestines and shit like that.
I was NOT greatly influenced by the church when I was small, so I have been able to think clearly. All my close friends that listen to my arguments, now that they are able to learn things for themselves instead of being force-fed information, have begun to doubt their faith as well.
