Actually, the reason people will say to have the back as an intake is a) to give you cooling some organization (in in the front and out in the back works better than having random fans blowing random directions), and b) with your PSU exhausting hot air and an intake fan right below it, you will end up sucking a small amount of the hot air right back in. But those are just guidlines, you really have to try everything out for yourself to see what works absolutely best for you. With my old case I had a 115CFM Panaflo sucking in air on the back, sitting right underneath a PSU exhaust fan also. Now with my new case rear fan is an exhaust. Different cases, different cooling needs.
