Hm.. Hero Editor has nothing to do with Frontpage -- I don't even know what Frontpage is, lol. You definately should not need to install Frontpage to use Hero Editor. You may somehow have a "bad" copy of Hero Editor. Did you install any other software on your computer recently?

Hero Editor is a stand-alone program, so you can actually have several copies on your computer in different directories, and run any one of them. I am not sure if you can run more than one at a time (I am not sure how they share the DLLs). So yes, your should be able to start Hero Editor by double clicking on the EXE file (icon). I actually have all versions of Hero Editor that I have developed, all in different directories, so when a question arises about a specific version, I can run that particular version.
