| Idiots. The mountain doesn't spit lava. That's not what kind of volcano it is. It explodes, created a lava dome (a dome of solid, volcanic rock) that traps the gasses and such inside, and pressurizes to the point that it goes off like a bomb. AND it's not normal to see this kind of seizmic activity coming from it so soon after the last eruption. We expected Mt. Ranier to go before St. Helens did again. (Find Mt. Ranier on a map and compare it to Mt. St. Helens. Be Impressed.)
